Polaris, the industry-leader in sport and utility SxS vehicles, continues to demonstrate their market leadership with strong first half performance in 2021.
Over the past six months, Polaris has grown their year-to-date market share in the Utility SxSmarket from 40.4% at the end of December to 46.9% at the end of June – an increase of 16% with almost 31 percentage pointsbetween them and their next closest competitor. The Utility SxS market includes the popular Polaris RANGER and GENERAL models.
In the Sport SxSmarket, the results are staggering with growth from 44.9% in December to 66.5% in June, an increase of 48.1%.This puts Polaris’ market share at over 2.8 times larger than the next closest competitor. The Polaris RZR continues to dominate the Sport SxS market.
“To deliver such significant share growth when the market is at its peak in the first half of the year is very pleasing and a testament to the strength and popularity of the Polaris product offering,” said Alan Collins, Managing Director for Polaris Australia and New Zealand.
“The off-road vehicle market continues to see high levels of transference from quad bikes to SxS products, a trend we expect to accelerate as the second stage of the Consumer Goods (Quad Bikes) Safety Standard takes effect later this year. With the strength of the Polaris range – which includes petrol, diesel and electric power sources – we are now seeing more consumers than ever choosing the enhanced functionality and safety benefits of a Polaris SxS vehicle with properly engineered Roll Over Protection Structure (ROPS).”
